Packaging and Shipping - How I ship My Candles. What's up everybody I'm Tim from Timber Ridge Gifts so this video is going to be [[https://woodenwick.com/collections/candles|(Image: [[https://burst.shopifycdn.com/photos/view-through-camera-phone-of-clay-candle-pots-on-ground.jpg?width=746&format=pjpg&exif=0&iptc=0|https://burst.shopifycdn.com/photos/view-through-camera-phone-of-clay-candle-pots-on-ground.jpg?width=746&format=pjpg&exif=0&iptc=0]])]]able about shipping, shipping supplies, and how to properly pack and ship your candles. So I actually already did an online shipping tutorial probably about eight or nine months ago you guys want to check it out just follow the link right there but this video is gonna be more about the supplies I actually use where to get them and how to actually package your canvas so let's go and talk about some of our supplies now the other video I'll cover a lot of these these are the standard boxes you can get from the post office these are great mainly because they're free you can just get on to a USPS comm you as many as you want they'll send them to you a lot of them have a flat rate or reduced shipping attached to them and these are great I use these from time to time but to me they don't really have that personal professional look that I'm going for for that I use these these are just corrugated mailing boxes these are the brand name is a TBD get these off the la Amazon and these are great because there is a huge selection you pretty much get any size you need anywhere from 2 inches by 2 inches by 2 inches all the way up they're really good size boxes but because camels are small about a lot of the smaller ones the great thing about these is they're really easy to buy because the the product code is actually the dimensions of the box like I've got four by four by fours so this would be an m4 44 this is six by four by four so this would be an m6 44 it's stamped on the bottom on the whole way you can see it so it's super easy to find them over the size that you need once you get them to come in bundles of 25 or 50 they're gonna come one piece like this basically it's pre-cut and pre-folded you're just going to go into fold along the seams folds in on itself like that and there you go you've got your completed box ready to be filled and shipped so not only do they have that nice sleek professional look once you put your shipping label on there you've got all this free real estate you can now shape a business card to it you can print out stickers with your business logo really decorated up any way you need to to given that more personal touch these are super sturdy I've never had any complaints about any of them being damaged see they can take Nick's a quite a bit of abuse and in fact I had one this size but this time last year [[http://www.channel4.com/news/shipped|shipped]] to Japan once it got to Japan for whatever reason the customer had never picked it up it sat at the Osaka Japan postal facility for about three months before they finally gave up on and shipped it back to me so shipped to Japan which is about 3,000 miles saturd their postal facility for three months shipped back to me which was another 3,000 miles and uh it was perfectly a little bit of dirt on the outside of it but there was no crush damage everything inside was just fine so they're definitely starting up to protect whatever your shipping wherever your shipment that actually fill this with packing material you've got a lot of different options you've got level wrap crinkle shred foam peanuts those all have their side effects so Bubba drive or any type of plastic wrap can retain or generate heat but especially the sometime which is not good if you're shipping the candle that can melt crinkle shreds not bad but it can be dirty and dusty depending what kind you get and a lot of times it can be rough which I'd like to use because it can't scratch up the labels on my candle so I'll stay away from that and I'll foam peanuts I usually just stay away from those just because of the environmental impact they have not only do I personally don't like them a lot of customers won't buy from you if you should be using foam packing peanuts especially in the [[https://wholesalers.evlla.com/custom-candle-warning-label-wholesale-supplier/|custom candle warning label maker]] business a lot of people might buy soy candles because they are environmentally conscious so if you start using a bunch of environmentally responsible packing materials that's going to turn that customer base off real quick luckily there's a solution though they look like thank you peanuts but these are actually made out of the corn starch these actually dissolve in water so they don't have the environmental impact that foam peanuts do another great thing about these is they're lot softer than foam peanuts so we can pack them a lot better and because they're light and airy they have insulation properties as well so basically how we're going to use them we're just going to take our candles we go to film inside our box now we're just going to take our foam peanuts pack them all around they're really tight make sure they stay separated we're gonna pack these in there as tight as we can close up the lid these are ready to ship there you have got shipping is really not that hard the main thing is finding products that are going to work for you rather than taking something that isn't why right and trying to improvise it's a lot easier to buy what you need for the purpose that you need and be done with it if you guys are interested in these I'll leave links in the video description to a lot of different sizes and the phone packing peanuts so you guys definitely feel free to check those out you guys make sure you subscribe to my channel turn on the notification bells so you know when I put out new videos thanks for watching everybody
