Just want to know folks opinions about THIS Particular Part and the DPMS quality. Is this a gun I wish to spend all day taking pictures? I was capturing new 115gr Aguila ammo. Among the ammo for testing was offered at no charge by Hornady, Speer and Winchester. My guess is Ruger expects most LC9s owners will permanently switch the security off and go away it there. One, a Colt, was manufactured in the mid-1970s and the other is a Sig M-four hundred manufactured in 2015. Neither rifle will slam hearth when chambering a round or when fast firing. There have been some owners who, after they take the rifle apart, discover no spring around the firing pin and surprise if their rifle is missing a component, which will make the rifle prone to slam hearth when chambering a spherical. For example, a difficulty I see with AR-15 owners very often concerns using a free-floating firing pin. That hammer doesn’t touch the free-floating firing pin during chambering of a round or when the rifle is dropped. The Ruger LC9 will not be striker-fired like many polymer guns however has an external hammer that's recessed into the rear of the slide.
