The side ports allow it to work as a muzzle brake mitigating the felt recoil and the single top port reduces the muzzle climb. The CGS Qube comp reduces muzzle rise for faster follow up shots and does so with some innovative design features. This comp is the first of its kind that doesn’t require set screws and comes in a 1/2×28 thread pitch to match a wide array of firearms. The first magazine I put through I did a playing card drill - five shots fired at five yards, offhand, taking your time - and the group produced was an awesome single hole. At first was worried about loctite holding the brake in place as it's not firmly screwed against the barrel and bottomed out beside the frame, but this is by design. Because the magwell kit flares out, it helps keeps my shooting hand in place. The kit did not come with written instructions, so I watched a short video at the Strike Industries page. The problem for law enforcement is carrying enough product to deal with the casualty in a pack or kit which doesn’t interfere with all the other items an officer may carry. Which may or may not be justifiable for everybody.
